What types of books do you write? And do you read the same genre you write?

I write mainly paranormal romances. And I definitely write the same kinds of books I like to read. In addition to paranormal, I enjoy reading historical and contemporary romances as well as mysteries.

What was your inspiration for your book, or how did it come about?

I literally dreamt up the idea for ‘Dream Hunter’. I have a seriously overactive imagination and the craziest dreams. When I was younger, I actually kept a dream journal and would often write short stories based on my dreams. A couple of years ago, I had a dream which inspired the first sequence of ‘Dream Hunter’. I knew I had to finish the story…so I did.

Is this a sequel? A series? Are there more planned for the series? Tell us about them.

‘Dream Hunter’ is a stand-alone novella and I don’t have plans at this time to write any related books. However, there is definitely room to explore deeper into the realm of Guardian Angels. All I’ll say is “never say never.”

Can you name any books that you absolutely MUST read the moment you see it/them?

Anything by Karen Marie Moning. I loved her Highlander and Fever series. Her books are magic.

Who is your favorite author(s)?

Not just one favorite for me…I have a list! Among my favorites…Debbie Macomber, Tara Taylor Quinn, Karen Marie Moning, Sally Mackenzie, Sophie Kinsella…to name a few.

Why do you write in general? What motivates or inspires you to write or is inspiration for your stories?

I’ve always enjoyed writing. I’m an introvert so writing is a good way for me to communicate and express myself. In short, writing keeps me sane. I’ve always wanted to write a book. I wrote a lot when I was younger, but I had difficulty finishing my projects. A few years ago I decided life was short and it was time to finally write a book. I set some goals. Step one: write a book. Step two: publish a book. Step three: repeat step one. So far it’s working, I’ve written three books in the last three years and this is the first to be published. As an avid reader, I’m motivated to create a book a reader will enjoy. I want every story of mine to be different and unique with one common aspect–my books will always have a happily ever after. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Can you give any hints as to what’s in store for future books?

I just finished a vampire story and I have a strong feeling a sequel needs to be written. As well, I am working on a contemporary romance.

What do you find is the best way to work (in the quiet, with music, TV on, etc.)?

I need quiet to write. I find noise distracting. If the TV is on, I won’t get any writing done. I also need to be comfortable; my favorite writing spot is in my old blue recliner, but it’s best if I don’t get too comfy, otherwise, I may fall asleep since my prime writing time is after my little kids go to bed.

Tell our readers what books of yours are available and where they can purchase them.

Dream Hunter is my debut novella with Just Ink Press. I had a short story published by Breathless Press called “Just for Tonight” in the “With Love from Val and Tyne” anthology.
